_{Experience eagle hunting with the Kazakhs in Bayan-Ulgii province. The Kazakhs have unique tradition of hunting with trained Golden eagles. When spotting prey, a hunter takes the hood off an eagle and lets it fly. It's amazing to see how the golden eagle spreads its wings and flies freely, as if it was never at a human's mercy. Its' natural instincts are revived, and it forges ahead. The Eagle Huntress, a teenage girl Aisholpan is a household name in Mongolia today. As the real hunting is only available in the winter time, this tour offers travellers to experience it from July to Oct as an add-on to any tours. So, instead of real hunting, hunters will use rabbit skin or piece of meat to train their eagles.

Mongolia is home to a diverse range of ethnic groups, and each of them retains a unique cultural experience and traditions. One of the most interesting ethnic groups is the Kazakhs – who practice the tradition of hunting with trained Golden Eagles. This age-old tradition has been passed from generation to generation until today in the stunningly beautiful Altai Mountains of western Mongolia. During the colder months of the year, the skilled Kazakh hunters and their mighty trained Golden eagles hunt rabbit, fox, and wolf. And the way the Kazakh hunters train their eagles is fantastic – many admire the bond between the master and the eagle. This 4-day tour includes 3 days of extraordinary eagle hunting experience in Sagsai village, Bayan-Ulgii province of western Mongolia will allow travellers to learn their hunting tradition without real hunting and enjoy a homestay at a Kazakh family and witness their timeless culture and hospitality. Daily Itinerary
Day 1. Departure to Bayan-Ulgii, Mongolia. 2 hr flight. 1hr drive.
In the morning, our driver will pick you up from your accommodation, transfer you to the airport. Take a flight to Bayan-Ulgii. Upon arrival, your local Kazakh/English speaking guide and driver will pick you up. After having lunch in town, transfer to the Kazakh eagle hunter family in Sagsai village which is about 30 km away from Ulgii town. Your driver will back to Ulgii. You’ll stay with the hunter family for 2 nights, meet with the Kazakh family, experience their nomadic lifestyle, and get introduced to the hunter eagle. Welcome dinner.
Overnight at Kazakh nomad. Meals: L, D

Day 2-3. Eagle hunters experience days.
For 2 full days, we will experience Hunting with trained Golden Eagles for rabbit skin, piece of meat. The Kazakh hunters will show us how to call and interact with the Eagles. Meals and overnight at the hunter’s ger. Horse riding is included. Late morning on day 3, your driver will arrive and pick you up, transfer to Ulgii town, check into a local hotel, and have lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll have a short city sightseeing tour in town including a local museum, small mosque, bazaar, and handicraft shop. Farewell dinner.
Overnight at Kazakh nomad & local hotel. Meals: B.L.D
Day 4. Fly to Ulaanbaatar.
You will be transferred to the airport, fly off to Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to your accommodation. End of service.
